Can Your Skin Actually Get Better With Age?

can skin get better with age
The good news is your skin can actually get better with age—especially when you understand how your skin works and regenerates. Here are some surprising ways your skin can improve over time through 2 simple acts: protection and rejuvenation.

Protection: Wear an SPF (Even Indoors)
You need SPF even indoors, rain or shine. Dermatologists agree that the sun is the number one cause of aging. You already know that the sun’s rays are still there affecting your skin on cloudy days but what might surprise you is that they’re also reaching you indoors—unless you happen to work in a windowless room or a cave.

Unlike UVB light, UVA rays can penetrate through windows in your office, home, and car. While UVA doesn’t cause your skin to burn as quickly as UVB, it is carcinogenic and ages your skin. On top of that, Scientists have recently discovered that sun damage goes beyond the UV rays. It was proven that infrared and visible light may cause up 50% of free-radical damage that age your skin.

The bottom line: protecting your skin from UV damage with a regular SPF may simply be not enough. Philosophy labs teamed up with infrared light specialists to develop the first anti-aging breakthrough to target UVA, UVB, infrared light and visible light all at once: new ultimate miracle worker moisturizer with spf 30.

Rejuvenation: Get Your Beauty Sleep (Don’t Skimp on Your Z’s)
You need your beauty sleep, it’s not a myth! You’re not imagining that your skin doesn’t look its best after a late night. Chronic sleep loss can lead to fine lines, dark circles, and even make your skin age faster. Sleep loss can make you release more of the stress hormone called cortisol which breaks down collagen or result in too little of the growth hormone which helps repair your body.

The bottom line: Going to bed at a reasonable time consistent is important, but not the only way to keep your youthful look. Just as your body needs the sleep to repair, your skin often needs extra help in kick-starting its rejuvenation. Philosophy’s new Ultimate Miracle Worker Moisturizer has a multi-rejuvenating formula with high-performance bi-retinoid and active plant cells that help rejuvenate your skin throughout the day. If you want some serious super-charged beauty sleep, try the nighttime serum-in-cream to help reduce the signs of skin aging while you snooze.

How To Modify Your Heart Disease Risk?

Great. You're interested in cutting your risk of heart disease.
Let's get started right away.
First, let's take a look at the risk factors for heart disease
and see how making some minor lifestyle alterations could help
you prevent heart disease.
What are the risk factors for heart disease ?
Broadly, risk factors may be divided into two kinds.
  • those you can't do much about
  • those that you can modify

Non-modifiable Risk Factors
There are some things you just can't change. Some of the risk
factors for heart disease fall into this category, including
factors like gender, age, ethnicity, genetics and geographic
location.
Coronary artery disease is 2.5 times more likely in men than
women. Heart attacks occur in 9.7% of women between 65 and 69
years of age, but in 17.9% of those older than 85. There are
many reasons for this protective advantage women enjoy, and
they are detailed in another related article titled "Why are
Women so Superior in Coronary Disease?"

What is Collagen?

Even as a young child I was exposed to collagen. It all began when my mother made me consume countless packets of gelatin or jell-o to try to strengthen my nails. Sadly despite her efforts my nails continued to split until I reached college and discovered Biotin. I’m happy to report that after taking Biotin I found myself trading in sad, splitting nails for diamond-hard gems.

One of the reasons the collagen failed is because the particles were too large. The body can’t absorb something if the molecule is too big. It just ends up traveling through the body and right into the toilet making most of what we may put on our skin or drink in a beverage useless.

WHAT IS COLLAGEN?

In order for you to figure out how to build collagen you first need to understand what collagen is. Collagen is the scaffolding that makes up 80 percent of our skin. As we age it begins to degrade and disappear. Our skin in turn loses its structure and begins to drop or sag and cause wrinkles. Sun, stress, and especially sugar are ways to make sure collagen is on a fast track to degrading called collagenase or glycation.

This fibrous protein comes in many types, but here are the main five:

* Collagen I: skin, tendon, vascular, ligature, organs, bone (main component of bone and the most abundant collagen in the body. Most importantly it is present in scar tissue: the end product of when tissue heals by repair.

* Collagen II: cartilage (main component of cartilage)

* Collagen III: reticulate (main component of reticular fibers), commonly found alongside type I.

* Collagen IV: forms bases of cell basement membrane

* Collagen V: cells surfaces, hair and placenta

In women's life there comes a time when wearing high-heeled shoes with no more sense. The body undergoes these changes abstain from them.

Heels can make legs look longer, but will relinquish them to do really long legs. A 2012 study published in "The Journal of Applied Phisiology" revealed that users of heels to the calf muscles were shorter. Using flat shoe will help the foot recover its natural form.

2- Your back will feel better

Heels make your rear look pretentious for a reason: they attract the basin back. "This puts pressure rising among spine and the muscles that stabilize it," says Todd Sinett, author of "3 Weeks to a Better Back". Some women who wear high shoes and may have a disorder called spondilolisteza, that is displacement of shtylës cord blood cells. This disorder brings nerve damage and pain. When you give up heels, return back to the previous position.

3- Would you have less pain

Wear heels not only shortens your pulp, but also the Achilles tendons. "When you set foot in angle of 90 degrees, you increase the pressure on tight tendons," says Krista Archer doctor from Lenox Hospital in NWC. This can cause even greater pain.

Where you can see overweight people everywhere, without impress

Being overweight has returned to normal in the United States. So WalletHub writes in his report last longer.
More than ¾ of adults in America today are overweight or obese, according to the latest study by the internal organization of health. Moreover, the same study determined that in America there are more obese than overweight people.
In 2014, according to the report, about 83 million Americans make a living "completely inactivated", almost without any physical activity. Given this estimated WalletHub which were the most problematic countries in this respect, based on the level of overweight and obesity and unhealthy habits of citizens.
Most of these countries belong to the southeastern part of the United States, while citizens healthier living in coastal states. And it is not surprising that many of the countries with the highest percentage of people overweight, had high levels of the population who do sedentary and consume less than one portion of fruit and vegetables a day.
However, this phenomenon has been observed by anyone who has gone to visit America, and apart from that there are other countries which is no longer a concern to see the streets filled with people who barely walk by its own weight.

This is how I really look

Some people are aware about a particular feature of their faces, as the nose, mouth or chin.

Although I do not hate myself, I do not excessive criticism, I am not comfortable with my whole body, from head to toe. 29 years of my life I have devoted facial hiding and finding appropriate clothes to better hide my insecurities. Well maybe you're thinking that I'm a crazy woman who walked with a bag on his head but no. At first glance, if I had known best cover my faults, for you I am a normal woman like all the others.

I would wish that were the case, but no!

I suffer from a rare disease called chronic autoimmune skeroderma. One of its simpromave is to develop red spots on the skin and after diagnosis at the age of 10 years, these ugly spots began to appear all over the body. At age 12, I began to hide them by using wholesale fondatinës.

I have become very cunning not allowing anyone except my family, to see me without make-up. For nearly 3 decades I have rarely come out of the toilet or in the house without make up. Not ever wear dresses, sleeveless dress, or things open, in short everything that shows part of the body.
My situation may be extreme, but I am convinced that most people in their daily lives trying to hide 'defects' in others. In a way I did I!Source: cosmopolitan.com
