Smokey eyes Step by step-Tutorial

How To :
Want to master the art of sexy smoulder like actress Ashley Benson but afraid of turning out more raccoon than raunchy? Never fear! We show you exactly how to create the classic celeb approved look with the help of makeup artist and hairstylist, Tobi Henney.
“It may look complicated but a creating a smokey eye can be pretty simple,” admits Henney, “All you need to remember to do is blend, blend and blend to get that shadowing effect that really nails the look.”
Henney also recommends starting with your eyes before apply foundation and concealer, “This will ensure you don’t ruin your base with hard to avoid eye shadow dust.”
So you want to get oh so smokey? Here is Tobi Henney’s step-by-step guide:
Step 1. First, apply a creamy concealer onto your eyelid. This creates a smooth canvas for your eye shadow to stick to. Try ModelCo Fluid Splash 3 in 1 Foundation with inbuilt concealer.
Step 2. Now, sweep a pressed powder over your entire eyelid to minimise eye shadow creasing.
Step 3. Take a black eye pencil and trace your top lash line from the inner corner to the outer. Then, use the same pencil to line your lower lashes. Try
Eye Define Eye Pencil in Black.
Expert Tip: To create that undone look, smudge the liner using a blending brush, cotton tip or your finger.
Step 4. To create the classic charcoal look, use ModelCo Eye Shadow Trio in ‘Smokey Eye’ and start by sweeping the lightest colour shadow across your entire lid.
Step 5. Now take the medium shade and start to blend it from halfway across your eyelid. Always blend your shadow upward and outward into the crease of your eyelid.
Step 6. Using a fluffy blending brush, sweep the darkest shade into the outer corner of the eye and the crease to create a dark, intense shadow for the ultimate smokey appeal.
Step 7. Highlight your angles and create contrast by dusting a small amount of the lighter shadow over your brow bone.
Step 8. To balance the intensity of your upper lid, take the darkest shade and sweep a little just under your eye close to your bottom lash line.
Step 9. Now it’s time to blend, blend, blend. Use your brush to blend your shadow and buff out harsh lines, working towards the outer corner of your eye.
Step 10. Finish off the look with ModelCo Fibre Lash Brush on False Lashes for intense, jet black lashes.
There you have it, a smouldering stare in no time! Now just try and put the fire out.
